Welcome to The Sheet, a service run by the folks at The Sheet (the “Company”). We operate a print publication, website and email newsletter and we would love for you to use them. However, before you do, it’s important for everyone to understand what’s expected of them.

We reserve the right (but do not have the obligation) to refuse to distribute Content on the Services. The Company retains all rights to all intellectual property contained within the Services, including but not limited to: branding, logos, slogans, trademarks, designs, images or anything that contains a likeness to Company, it’s intellectual property and its employees.

You retain all rights to any Content created via the Services, but you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide and transferable license to host, use, modify, publish, create derivative works from that content in any form and on any media (now known or later developed).

We do not endorse, support, represent or guarantee the veracity of any Content shared via the Services or endorse any opinions expressed via the Services. You understand that by using the Services, you may be exposed to Content that might be offensive, harmful, inaccurate or otherwise inappropriate. Under no circumstances will the Company be liable in any way for any Content, including, but not limited to, any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any Content posted, texted, transmitted or otherwise made available via the Services.

We do not take any responsibility for any Content posted to the Services or any harm or other consequences that may result in the use of these Services.

You are responsible for all charges relating to data and text message usage. If you are unsure of what those charges may be, contact your mobile service provider before using the Services.

8. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, then that provision will be severed from these Terms and not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

9. Final Terms

These Terms make up the entire agreement between you and The Sheet, and supersede any prior agreements. These Terms do not create or confer any third-party beneficiary rights. If we do not enforce a provision in these Terms, it will not be considered a waiver. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you.
